Paisley & Stripes

  • Jacket - Zara (charity shop)
  • Shirt - Dad’s
  • Jeans - River Island
  • Boots - charity shop
I was meaning to go back to these jeans that I bought about two years ago, but suddenly thought that with green hair it might look a bit like Beetlejuice! Then I thought ‘why not’ and for half the day I had a black and white striped jumper on too. Then I switched to paisley and this gorgeous soft smart jacket that was such a bargain find, and is going to smarten up so many outfits! I wore this to a gig in the evening topped off with a bowler hat too.
I’m not sure what to do with my hair at the moment, I’m really wanting to grow it and have finally got past the shoulder length stage that I usually hack it back off at….question is now, what colour? Stay green for a bit, add something to the top?

Spots & Checks

  • Fake fur coat - vintage
  • Dress - USC
  • Brogues - eBay
  • Cardigan - charity shop
Of course my camera would run out of battery after taking one photo against a white wall on the high street! Typical. This dress is so 60s and I love it, I’m just not quite sure how it sits on a figure like mine - shift dresses aren’t quite right, thoughts?? Anyway, I thought I’d wear it with my fluffy coat and pointy brogues for a 60s/Mod-inspired look, even though I’d definitely be a rocker….

White Bow Ties

  • Dress - H&M
  • Cardi - Topshop (charity shopped)
  • Hat - Joy
  • Boots - Marks & Spencer (charity shopped)
I am going to make a real effort to post much more from now on - I've had so much uni work to be getting on with recently, and a study trip to Berlin that was absolutely fantastic, but I have really neglected blogging and I want to use it a lot more to share my outfits. It's so hard to find the time these days, but I'm excited to share so many great new items I've found recently. Here I'm wearing a simple tea dress from H&M with a chunky cardi and my leather chelsea boots. The turquoise socks add a pop of colour and matches the turquoise in my hair, and I think the pastel pink clashes rather nicely.

Sunflower Dress

  • Dress - Beyond Retro
  • Cardigan - charity shop
  • Tights - John Lewis
  • Boots - Fat Face
A blindingly sunny but very chilly day - this dress never fails to cheer me up and with an old favourite cardigan too. It’s perfect for a day when I don’t have much time and can throw on an old favourite. These fleecy boots from Fat Face go so well with these cozy tights and bring this dress into winter perfectly - although I cannot wait to wear it with bare legs and Mary Janes in the summer now.

Pastel & Stripes

I have a silly number of cardigans, but when I came across this one, I just couldn’t resist it. The colour is so un-me, but I just love the shape and the texture of it. I thought there was something quite retro about the poloneck and the v-neck layers together, so I put my hair in a high ponytail and added this little bow - I used to wear bows in my hair all the time at school. You can’t go wrong with stripes! With my new acid wash jeans from H&M (soooo soft and stretchy) and a pair of brogue boots I bought in the student sale in November.

Tartan & Stripes

  • Shirt - vintage
  • Dress - Christmas gift
  • Jumper - Motel
This dress is another item I got from my auntie for Christmas - can’t go wrong with tartan and a white collar. I added the grungy Motel jumper over the top for an extra layer of warmth. These are the best tights too as I find it so annoying when knee highs are always slipping down. With my new favourites, my Dr Martens shoes, again.

Winter Florals

  • Shirt - vintage (charity shopped)
  • Jumper - GAP (charity shopped)
  • Skirt - River Island (eBay)
  • Boots - Schuh
  • Parka - Dorothy Perkins
I got this lovely snuggly parka from my auntie for Christmas - it was actually for her daughter-in-law, but she rejected it, so it got passed to me instead. I am really lacking in enough pairs of thick tights, but when I’ve bought some more I’ll be wearing this skirt a lot more often, the colours are so perfect for winter.
